The Dignity by Design Framework inspires and guides actions by businesses, investors, policymakers, civil society, or academia to manage human rights risks and maximise social opportunity in the built environment.
Applicable across the entire lifecycle of a project, it emphasises that greatest leverage lies in the early stages. It does not propose a new set of requirements but rather grounds itself in existing international standards and agreements.
Recognising the need for joint climate and social action, the Framework offers high-level environmental considerations but avoids details, given the abundance of existing climate and environmental frameworks.
